Quality Control and PRICE
Quality control of food stamps and Medicaid is federally mandated by the USDA and the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services. The unit reviews a statistically valid sample of active and negative cases to determine which households are receiving benefits to which they are entitled and which decisions to deny or terminate cases are correct. PRICE/UNIT conducts specialized QC of Medicaid eligibility as negotiated with the federal government.
