Assists low income families by providing payments directly to fuel supplier. The amount of the benefit is based on the type of fuel, monthly income and the number of people in the household. Each household can also receive a one-time benefit of up to $600 to alleviate a heat-related crisis such as shut-off notice, tank hook-up etc. LIEAP clients are also eligible for Weatherization assistance.

Energy Share of Wyoming

Energy Share of Wyoming can provide energy assistance to those who do not qualify for LIEAP and are experiencing a situation such as a medical or family crisis, which makes it difficult to pay their energy bills. Energy Share of Wyoming is funded by utility companies, customers, local businesses, and private donation.

Applications are taken through the local Salvation Army or Utility Company.

 

Senior Tax Rebate

Senior Tax Rebate provides a tax rebate in the form of a check made out to the client for up to $500 or $600 depending on program guidelines. You must be 65 years of age or older or over the age of 18 and 100% disabled and a Wyoming resident for one full year at the time of application. A married couple cannot make more than $14,000 gross annual income and a single person cannot make more than $10,000 gross annual income.

Property Tax Rebate

All Wyoming counties through the county treasurer will give a property tax rebate based on income, etc. Contact your county treasurer for information.
